Style and Resource Guide
MRU ITS Security
Goal:
We were expected to reduce the Mount Royal University ITS Security information provided into one 30 page resource document. As well as create a style guide that ITS security can use as a type of template for all their future documents.
Project Statement:
For the style guide I designed a starter base for MRU ITS documents by including a certain color palette, font, writing, numbering and design conventions, and the overall document layout. I took only the important information to reduce the amount of writing, and also included pictures when it came to instructions on how to do or set up something. Using the principles of information architecture and technical writing I included hierarchy through different levels of headings, chunking and blocking of text. Both documents were created solely in Microsoft Word.
